The Competition Law Research Centre is the only research centre in Hungary specialised on competition policy matters. It was established six years ago and has about 20 active members. The centre is funded and supervised by the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences.
MAGYAR SPORTTUDOMÁNYI TÁRSASÁG (MSTT, Hungarian Society of Sport Sciences) was established in 1996 as a public benefit organization. Over the last 15 years it has organised annually 6-8 sport related scientific conferences and congresses, supported with funding scientific researches, or published journals like the Magyar Sporttudományi Szemle (Hungarian Review of Sport Sciences) and the International Quarterly of Sport Science thereby supporting the development of relations between sport and various scientific fields like medcine, human biology, dietetics, law, economics, history or sociology.
According to Act XL of 1994, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is a scholarly public body founded on the principle of self-government, whose main task is the study of science, the publicizing of scientific achievements, and the aid and promotion of research. Its members are the academicians.
